Korean Americans Address Concerns and Issues to City Council Members

YKASEC participated in the Annual New York City Advocacy Day on February 12th with other social service, immigrant rights, labor, and community organizations.Around 50 Korean American community members participated in this year’s event entitled “Delivering the Message 2004: Provide Equal Access, Rights, and Opportunities for New York’s immigrants!”Issues briefings and City Council discussion panel were held at the Schimmel Center for the Arts at PACE University all day. YKASEC representatives also visited the offices of Melinda Katz, Joseph Addabbo, and Bill Perkins to discuss education, civil service and labor, and civic participation.
